"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” - Galatians 6:10
Thank you, church, for your love and support, and for the wonderful reception and gifts you lavished on me and my family last night!
I have always considered it an honor to be the Pastor of Lexington Baptist Temple. I believe that God has placed me and my family here for a distinct purpose of ministry and leadership. One factor that makes pastoring a joy is the people you get to serve as you lead. I have been very blessed by the people of LBT. In the seven years I have been blessed to serve, I have never felt unloved or unsupported by the congregation. The community of believers here are warm, friendly and genuine. You don’t find that everywhere.
This past month was “Pastor Appreciation Month.” I truly feel appreciated year round. Are there difficulties with the position? Yes. Are there times when I get tired? Yes. Are there times when I shed tears? Yes. But are there times when I regret being a pastor? No. I am confident of His calling on my life and His placement at this post. And I am also confident of the fact that I am appreciated at Lexington Baptist Temple. So, thank you, church. It is an honor to serve as your pastor.
